Theresa Santelli

The oldest of five children, Theresa grew up during the Great Depression. She loved school and graduated second in her High School class of 1941. Upon graduation she immediately entered Nursing School. Graduating nursing school in 1945, she was about to join the US Army when World War II ended. Very early in 1946 Theresa met her husband-to-be Sam, who had just returned from service in the Army in Europe. They married in September of '46. For the next 15 years Theresa worked as a Nurse, raised a family, and helped Sam in his business. In 1962, Theresa and Sam moved to Ft. Lauderdale where together they built two businesses in Ft. Lauderdale and later in Boca Raton. After Sam passed away in 1985, Theresa retired to Boca and for the last 14 years has resided at Edgewater Point Estates assisted living facility where she made many friends among the residents and staff.

Theresa is survived by her 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Yi Santelli of Boca Raton and Thomas Santelli of Boca. Also surviving are her sisters Netta Colacino and Mary Gilardo of Newark, New York.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 370 SW 3rd St, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Burial will immediately follow at Boca Raton Cemetery alongside her late husband Samuel. The family will receive friends at Edgewater Point Estates at 3:00 PM for a time of refreshment and a celebration of Theresa's life.
