

Mrs. Willetts was born October 19, 1936, daughter of the late Anson Chaddie Simmons and Ava Mildred Smith Simmons. She and her husband George owned and operated Brunswick Fire and Safety for many years. Mrs. Willetts was a former member of Supply Baptist Church before moving to Leland where she became an active member in Zion United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Willetts, four brothers, Floyd Simmons, James “Bunt” Simmons, Gilbert Simmons, and Samuel Lathion Simmons; and one sister, Lila Jones.
Survivors include her children, Harold Dale Willetts and wife Susan of Wilmington and Michael Willetts and wife Ronda of Leland; sisters, Yvonne Clemmons and Estalene McLamb; and four grandchildren, Chuck Willetts and wife Elizabeth, Amanda Brown and husband Daniel, Jessica Daugherty, and Jereme Willetts and wife Taylor; eight great grandchildren, Megan Brown, Caleb Willetts, Braeden Brown, Emma Willetts, Brantley Brown, Serenity Brown, Rose Daugherty, and Clare Daugherty.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Zion United Methodist Church with Pastor Bobby Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Brown, Shane Gett, Bobby Simmons, Ricky Simmons, Wayne Simmons, and Jereme Willetts. Honorary pallbearers will be Braeden Brown and Brantley Brown.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm at the church.
