Danny was born March 19, 1952 in Grundy VA, son of Pearl and the late Ray Warner Stump.
Danny is survived by his adoring wife Pamela of twenty-nine years; his sons Danny Ray Stump and fiancé Amanda Long, Christopher Ben Stump, his daughter Deana Lynn Stump, two sisters, one brother, and two grandchildren, Danny Keith Stump and Dillon Ray Stump.
Danny was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, an avid scuba diver, enjoyed his dogs, and was especially fond of the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 603 Ocean Highway, Supply, NC.
Danny’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Sunny Point, Southport Fire Department, U.S. Coast Guard, New Hanover County Sheriff’s Dive Team, NC Marine Patrol, NC Wildlife and Brunswick Search & Rescue, and all the local volunteers for their rescue efforts.
