David A. Worden

Mr. Worden was born August 22, 1942 in Wisconsin the son of the late Kenneth James Worden and Joyce Mead Worden. He was retired from the US Army and had served in the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Worden was an avid Green Bay Packers fan; he loved Wisconsin and his cheese. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife Doris Worden; two sons, Russell Worden and wife Trish of Chapman, KS and James LaRue of Riverside, California; two daughters, Barbara Worden of France, and Kimmberly Stephens of Shallotte; a brother Kenneth Worden of Winnabow; three sisters Pam Turner and husband Dan of California, Suzie Adams and husband Mike of Alabama, and Phyllis Bush and husband William of Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Shallotte with Pastor Ivan Cortes officiating.
