
Emma was born on November 29, 1924 at Old Hundred in Scotland County to Colon Calvin Caddell and Nettie Garner Caddell.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Benny McKoy Green Jr., and her son, Jimmy Calvin Green, her second husband Gilbert Curry and her third husband CB Jones, brother, John William Caddell, sisters Julia Naylor, Pauline Knowles, Lillie Mae Baker, Bessie Weiss, Geraldine Willis and Carolyn Evans.
Emma attended Wilmington First Pentecostal Holiness Church for sixty nine years. She was employed with Swift & Co; Graver’s Shirt Factory and raised 20,000 chickens every nine weeks for Ramsey Feed Co. until her retirement.
Emma is survived by her son, Jerry Green, and his wife Teresa of Castle Hayne. Four granddaughters, Sherry Green Sternberger (Kenneth) of Bolivia, NC, Lisa Michelle Green Kohnberg (Stewart) of Raleigh, Summer Green Sneed (Kevin), Eldoret, Kenya, and Kristin (Krissy) Green Witt (Brandon) of Castle Hayne, N.C. Four great grandsons, Jordan Smith, Alexander Francis, Nathaniel Sneed, Ryker Lee Witt and one great granddaughter, Abigail Sneed. She is also survived by one sister, Lenora Baker, Castle Hayne.
Because of Covid-19 restrictions, a private family graveside service will be held at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
