Born in Orono, Maine on the seventeenth of November 1936, he was the son of the late Herbert E. Burns, Sr. and Doris Sargent Burns. Herbert was a retired building supplies salesman and was a US Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Burns and brother, George Burns.
Surviving are sons, Mark Burns of Wilmington, NC, Brian Burns and significant other Mary Boston of Alton Bay, NH and Herbert Edward “Butch” Burns III and his wife Linda Burns; his sister, Priscilla Guerin of Brewer, ME; two grandchildren, Cody Burns and Brian Burns II.
Memorial services for Mr. Burns were private.
