Jim retired from Dollar Tree Stores in 2005 after a successful career as Director of Store Construction. He moved to Holden Beach, NC, in 2007 which had been his lifelong dream.
Jim leaves behind his wife, Paula, his true love; "the kids" (Eric and Kelli Ancarrow, Ryan and Tyler Gwozdz), whom he loved with all his heart; his loving sister and brother-in-law, Tom and Lyn Finnerty; Aunt Mary Yale; and cousins, David and Barbara Batts, Nour and Sara El Malki. Jim was the beloved only son of the late Dorothy "Dot" and J. Watson "Wat" Holyfield of Raleigh, NC
His fun-loving personality, generosity, and compassion will be missed by so many more.
A memorial service will be held at Camp United Methodist Church in Shallotte, NC at 2:00 p.m. on April 30. A reception will follow.
