

Mr. Morgan was born in Prince William Co., Virginia on December 26, 1932 and was son of the late Luther Lewis Morgan and Mary Catherine Cumberland Morgan. He was a U.S. Airforce Veteran serving four years during the Korean War followed by four years of service in the U.S. Airforce Reserve. He was an air traffic controller at Andrews Airforce base. Following his military service he retired as an ordinance inspector at the U.S. Navy ordinance in Indian Head, Maryland. He then worked with the Maryland Department of Transportation as a toll taker at the Harry Nice Bridge in Newburg, Maryland.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dixie Kelly Morgan, three children, Julia Morgan Carlson and husband Charles of Mechanicsville, Maryland, Rebecca Morgan Green and husband Rick of Holden Beach, James Patrick Morgan and wife Heidi Ann of Chapicto, Maryland, a sister, Betty M. Buchanan of Pomfret, Maryland and seven grandchildren; Christopher Green, Eric Green, Garrett Thayer, Morgan Green, Charlie Carlson, Kelly Carlson, Brent Morgan.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 7 o’clock in the evening at White Funeral and Cremation Service Bolivia Chapel 603 Ocean Hwy. E. Bolivia, N.C. 28422.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation one hour prior to the service Monday, December 19, 2016.
