James Henry Smith

Born in Horry County, SC on the eighteenth of March, 1934, and was a son of the late Donnie and Addie Bell Brown Smith. James was a candle maker and bee keeper for many years. In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by brothers, LeRoy Smith and Daniel Smith.

Surviving are his loving wife, Alice Williams Smith of the home; a son, Jeffery Smith of Supply; three daughters, Jackie S. Smith and husband Peter of Asheboro, NC, Juanita Smith Cook and husband Tommy of Burlington, NC, Kathy S. Atkins of Randleman, NC; two brothers, Wayne Smith, Donnie Smith; three sisters, Elneta Jones, Niamless Martin, Annie Bell Pittman; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering was held at the family home.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that monetary donations be made in his name to the Victory Baptist Church, 516 Varnamtown Road, Supply, North Carolina 28462.
