

Born in Brunswick County, NC January 1, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John T. Holden and Elneda Fulford Holden. Mrs. Danford along with her husband of thirty-seven years, Travis E. Danford, Sr., were Dairy Farmers. Her hobbies included needlework, ceramics, clamming, gardening, traveling and her grandchildren. She was a member of Sabbath Home Baptist Church and during her failing health attended Union Chapel P.F.B.C.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Odessa Paden, Roy Holden, Johnny Holden, Ella Ray Robinson and Eula Sellers.
Survivors include her children, Brenda Hales and husband James of Elizabethtown, NC, Travis E. Danford, Jr. and wife Laura of Pensacola, FL, Kimberly Street and husband Tim of Supply, NC; a brother, Kellen Holden of Supply, NC; two sisters, Roxie Broxton of Charleston, SC, Betty "Bobbie" Ivey of Supply, NC; grandchildren, Chris (Karen) Hales, Jason Hales, Ryan Danford, Justin Danford, Robert (Katie) Street, Charles Street, Tammy Street, Buster Street; great-grandchildren, Brandon (Laney) Hales, Makayla Hales, Travis Hales, Dustin Hales, Seth Danford, Anne Street, Savannah Street, Tammy Street, Charles Street, Daniel Street and a great great-grandaughter, Taylor Louise Hales.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 22, 2016 in the Sabbath Home Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM, Thursday evening at White Funeral & Cremation Service, Bolivia/Supply Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, at 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
