

She was born in Whiteville on August 7, 1950, to Irene Spivey Nobles of Chadbourn and the late William Eugene Nobles.
Mrs. McNeill was first and foremost a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an accomplished painter and artist, and loved to cook for her family. Marqueen worked as a hairdresser for many years in the Bolivia Beauty Salon and more recently the front desk of the Rental Department of Bald Head Island.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Nobles.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, William R. (“Bob”) McNeill; two sons, Michael McNeill and wife Michelle of Bolivia, Tony McNeill and wife Heather of Winnabow; three sisters, Gloria Fowler and husband Jackie of Tabor City, Jeannie Inman and husband Lane, and Princess Clark and husband Mike, all of Ocean Isle Beach. She adored her grandchildren Brandon McNeill, Garrett McNeill, Haley McNeill and Ethan McNeill.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 21, in the Chapel of White Funeral & Cremation Service, Supply, with Mr. Ray Carteret officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family asks that memorials be made in her name to SECU Lower Cape Fear Hospice at 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
