Mary Gore Smith

Mary Gore Smith, 84, of Bolivia and former longtime resident of South Port died Thursday June 16, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Smith was born in Bladen Co. and was the daughter of Dora Gore Grainger. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clifford Smith. She was a certified nursing assistant and ward clerk for Dosher Memorial Hospital for over 25 years.

Ms. Smith is survived by her children, Joanne Parrish (Jim) of Chattanooga, TN, Charles Camp (Vickie) of Bolivia, Debbie Bidari (Taimoor) of Los Angeles, CA, and Ashby Smith of Bolivia; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5 o’clock in the afternoon to 7 o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 22nd of June 2016 with the Reverend Anthony Clemmons officiating a service that will begin at 6 o’clock in the evening at White Funeral and Cremation Service 603 Ocean Hwy. E. Bolivia, N.C. 28422.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Mary’s name be directed to American Lung Association.
