

Our much loved Peggy Lynn Potter passed away on January 24, 2026 after a brief illness, with her two fur babies Gus and Bella by her side. She was born in Wilmington, NC to Bertha Mintz and Relmor Potter Sr and lived all of her life in Leland, NC (Maco).
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother JR (Relma), nephews Alan Potter, Jeffrey Potter, Mark and Ricky Robbins. She is survived by her sister Barbara Robbins, sister in law Nina (Pat) Potter, nieces Misty Roohi (Mark), Donna Brown (Russell), and nephew Deano Potter (Anne).
She also loved the time she spent with her great nieces and nephews Ashley, Stephanie and Dylan Brown, Matthew and Andrew Roohi, Brittney Kearney and special great great nephew Waylon Kelly. She was looking forward to seeing her great great Kearney niece that is expected in May.
Peggy started her career working at Lackey’s in the office and later spent many years working at Celanese Corporation (formerly Hercules). She continued working various accounting roles until she retired.
Along with the majority of her family, she was a life long member of Shiloh Methodist Church in Maco.
Peggy loved her fur babies and always had dogs and cats that she loved and doted on her entire life. She was a loving sister, Aunt and friend to everyone she knew and will be missed dearly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 29, 6-8pm at White Funeral and Cremation Service located at 603 Ocean Hwy E, Bolivia and at other times, they will be at the home of Pat Potter, 7799 Shadowloop Trail, Leland.
Funeral services will be held Friday January 30, 2026 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Shiloh Methodist Church, 1873 Maco Rd NE, Leland.
Pallbearers will be Deano Potter, Russell Brown, Jeremy Kearney, Mark, Matthew and Andrew Roohi.
