She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ann Charlton, sister, Nancy Shutter and brother Richard E. Richards.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Paul "Jim" Turner; daughter Melissa Trudeau (John); brother, Thomas Richards; grandchildren, Haley Gilbert, Courtney Gilbert, Logan Trudeau and Breanna Trudeau along with a host of extended family.
The family will receive friends on Sunday May 23 at White Funeral Service, 603 Ocean Hwy E. Bolivia, N.C. from 11 o'clock until 12 noon. Family and friends will proceed for a graveside service to be held at Cape Fear Memorial Park, Southport, at 12:30pm. Upon completion of the service the family request your presence for a reception at White Funeral Service in Bolivia.
