Mr. Stalls was born in Laurinburg, NC on March 22, 1951 and was son of the late James Irvin Stalls and Mary Maruceleen Strickland Stalls. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Larry Stalls.
He was a Vietnam Veteran where he received two Bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 6D Device. He was a member of Pine View Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Stalls; sons, Wayne Church, Stephen Stalls, Jr. and Curtis Starkey; daughter, Amanda Lynn Stalls; grandchild, Jerrit Starkey; brother, Gene Stalls; sister, Linda Dianne Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held at Pine View Baptist Church, 202 Flemington Dr, Wilmington, NC on Saturday May 20, 2023 at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Hospital.
