Thomas Marion McIntyre, 73, of Supply, NC. passed away peacefully at home, Monday, December 19, 2011. Mr. McIntyre was the son of the late Riley and Nelly McIntyre. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia McIntyre.
Thomas was a 20 year retired veteran of The U.S. Navy, and devoted 10 years to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department. He has also worked with AMX Corp. and QED Planners. He loved the water and spent several years as a commercial fisherman. Mr. McIntyre was a Past Master of Shallotte Masonic Lodge and a certified lecturer of The York Rite. He was a 25 year member of Sharon United Methodist Church. He loved everyone, and never knew a stranger. A wonderful husband and friend, Thomas will be greatly missed and always lovingly remembered.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Sharon United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, (1:00 PM). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sharon UNC Building Fund.
