William Otis Stockdale

"Billy", the son of Bowen Charles Stockdale (deceased) and Eleanor Peak Zane, grew up in Pennsville, NJ and was an avid fisherman from an early age. He loved being outdoors and was an amateur photographer who loved the spectacular sunrise and sunsets of North Carolina's Oak Island. Bill loved all things pertaining to fishing and being on the water. Always friendly, Bill made many lifelong, loyal friends everywhere he lived.

Bill Is survived by his son Adam Stockdale of Wilmington, NC and Adam's mother, Sheree of Blackwood, NJ; his mother, Eleanor of Carneys Point, NJ; his beloved best friend and comforter, Melody Roberts of Supply, NC. Also, four sisters: Patricia (John) Anderson, Chadds Ford, PA; Ann (John) Doran, Pennsville, NJ; Barbara Dolbow, Brighten, CO; and Eleanor (David) Sweatt, Orwell, VT; and numerous nieces and nephews who will treasure their memories of "Uncle Billy".

Private services for close friends and family will be held in North Carolina and New Jersey at the convenience of the family.
