

Abelardo "Lalo" Vega Camarena was born July 3rd, 1936 in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. He grew up in Naco, Sonora, Mexico with his parents and 5 siblings. As a young man he served in the Mexican Military and later worked at the Family bakery.
In 1956, Lalo moved to Del Mar, California with his cousin, Serafin, yet in 1960 returned to live in Tijuana, Mexico where he worked for a Dry Cleaning business. Soon after, he met and was later united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Concepcion "Concha" Mancilla on January 1st, 1965.
By 1974, Lalo and Concha moved their young family permanently to San Diego, California.
He worked for General Dynamics retiring after 30 years to then open his own successful window washing business.
Lalo was an active and devoted member of Monte Carmelo Catholic Church. For over 20 years he was a dedicated and happy member of the choir and guitar player.
Lalo was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Dominga Vega; his siblings, Beatrice, Miguel, and Enrique and his son Abelardo, Jr.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife for 54 years, Concha; his daughters, Alma, Linda, LuzMaria and their husbands Mark, Victor and Albert; his 16 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. As well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
