

Adela Dominguez Alejandro, beloved wife, mother, and grandma, passed away August 14, 2024 at the age of 95. Adela, also known as Mom, Grandma, Del, Deling, Dela, sis, and auntie was born to Florentino and Fortunata Dominguez on September 14, 1928, in Imus, Cavite, Philippines. She was the second oldest of 7 siblings.
She was married to Maximo C. Alejandro, on March 16, 1964. In 1966, she had one daughter, Arlene.
She was a Naval wife, who eventually settled in California. She was a devoted Christian who attended the 32nd St Naval Base Church in San Diego for over 50 years.
Adela was a gardener and loved taking care of her plants, especially her many varieties of Orchids. She often can be found in the backyard enjoying her orchids and posing for a picture with them.
Adela also had another hobby that she enjoyed. She loved going to the casinos. She enjoyed the entertainment of the lights and sounds that her slots made. She could be seen smiling and talking to her machine as well as raising her fist to it. Anytime she was winning she would say “Yee-Hee”!
Adela leaves behind her daughter, Arlene, two Granddaughters Rachel and Amylyn, and a future Grandson-in-law, Sean. She also leaves behind her Baby, Waffles…her Corgi companion.
Adela will be missed by everyone. She was a kind and goodhearted person. She is now in the hands and care of our ALMIGHTY GOD. Rest In Peace ADELA.
