

Adelaida Saligan Sasot, 84 years of age passed away on June 21, 2013 at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Chula Vista, California. Adelaida, also known as Aida or Ading was born on June 11, 1929 in Lopez, Quezon, Philippines. In 1987, Adelaida moved to San Diego, California, petitioned by her daughter, Nora Saligan Trinidad.
Adelaida was a faithful member and officer in the Iglesia Ni Cristo or Church of Christ. She was a Deaconess in the locale of National City and South San Diego for sixteen (16) years, from 1995 to 2010. Adelaida got sick and became weak but she remained steadfast in her faith. Her hobbies were singing, gardening, sewing, bargain shopping and watching television shows.
Adelaida got two marriages. She got married to Abner Erivera at the age of nineteen (19) and became a widow at the age of twenty two (22). Their union bore one daughter. Two years later, she remarried to Noe Sasot but got widowed in 1994 at the age of sixty five (65). They got three daughters.
Adelaida is survived by her four (4) daughters. In her first marriage is Nora Saligan Trinidad (married to Alfredo). In her second marriage are Mena Sasot Neri (married to Rolando), Eleanor Sasot Yap (married to Roger) and Rina Sasot. Her five grand children are Hazel (married to Jonathan), Alfredo "Bong" (married to Joann), Donna, Divina Rouse and Ian. Her four (4) great grandchildren are Giulio, Alessandro, Amelia and Aidan. Her five (5) siblings are Josefina (RIP), Epifanio (RIP), Eligio (RIP), Menardo and Rosalinda. Her late father is Jose Saligan and her late mother is Petra Canzon.
Adelaida was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt and grandmother to her family.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel at 3838 Bonita Rd., Bonita, California. Her final resting place will be at Glen Abbey Mausoleum.
