Alfonso A. Serrano

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Alfonso was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Alfonso will be remembered as an exceptional person.

Alfonso’s life journey began on August 18, 1947. He first greeted the world in Mexico City, Mexico. His parents' were Alfonso and Magdalena Serrano. He was raised with 2 brothers Rafael and Diego Serrano and 1 sister Carolina. Alfonso was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his family sharing many life experiences over the years.

Alfonso attended “La Salle University” and graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Alfonso experienced that with Sandra DeRosas and the couple exchanged wedding vows in 1991. The wedding took place in San Diego, California. Empathic and loyal, Alfonso was committed to making his new family happy.

While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Alfonso was blessed with 4 children Alfonso, Daniel, Pablo and Melissa. Alfonso worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment.

Alfonso A. Serrano left us on December 9, 2014. He is survived by wife Sandra D. Serrano and his daughter Melissa Serrano. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Service was held at The Little Chapel of the Roses on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Alfonso was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.

So this is Alfonso’s life, the sum of the man that he became. Simply stated, Alfonso was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Alfonso leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Alfonso A. Serrano touched will always remember him with a smile.
