He was one of six children, the youngest boy amongst his siblings. He attended Hermosa Elementary School, Sacred Heart of Jesus Parochial School Class of 1969, and received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Philippine School of Business Administration in 1974. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1975. He then married his childhood friend’s youngest sister, Ruby in 1977. Fred and Ruby’s family grew with the birth of Jamie in 1979 and Jed in 1980. In 1981, Fred and Ruby relocated from Dallas, Texas to San Diego, California where they raised their family. SKC Alfredo Lim retired from the U.S. Navy in 1999 after 24 years of military service. Fred enjoyed working with his hands, he enjoyed gardening, the culinary arts, music, and traveling with his wife, Ruby. Fred is survived by his wife, Ruby and his children, Jamie Ruby and Jed Alfred.
