

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Andres Gaspar Gomez Moguel was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Andres will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Andres’s life journey began on October 20, 1945. He first greeted the world in Izamal, Yucatan, Mexico. His parents' names were Jose Gomez and Manuela Moguel. He was raised with eight siblings, Baltazar Gomez, Manuel Gomez, Malchor Gomez, Miguel Gomez, Guadalupe Kim, Carmen George, Teresa Alvarez and Maria Cruz Gomez. Andres and his family shared many special life experiences over the years.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Andres experienced that with his sweetheart Ruth Concepcion Lias and the couple exchanged wedding vows in February of 1970. The wedding took place in Los Angeles, California. Empathic and loyal, Andres was committed to making his new family happy. The two shared many happy and loving years of marriage.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Andres was blessed with four children, Maribel Gomez, Oscar Andres Gomez, Julio Cesar Gomez and Vanessa Ortiz. Andres worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment.
Later in life, Andres was blessed with the joy of eleven grandchildren.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Andres enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Andres worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. He worked as a truck driver for over twenty years.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Andres enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including listening to his favorite music, shopping for clothes and shoes, as well as telling jokes to his family and friends.
One of Andres’ greatest accomplishments was having the opportunity of giving his family a better life. He moved his family to the United States and was able to watch them flourish and grow. His family will forever be grateful.
Andres Gomez left us on July 2, 2011. He passed away in Arizona of a heat stroke. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth, children Maribel, Oscar Andres, Julio Cesar and Vanessa, his grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Service was held at The Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel on July 15, 2011. Andres was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Andres was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Andres leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Andres Gaspar Gomez Moguel touched will always remember him with a smile.
