On July 25, 1952 Angela married her childhood sweetheart, Tiburcio Gallardo, in the Philippines. He served in the United States Navy and they lived in Hawaii and Texas before settling in San Diego in 1961. She was devoted to her husband, the love of her life, even after his death on January 3, 1985.
Angela was a loving mother to her daughters and "Lola" to her grandchildren. Her interests included gardening, playing the lotto, experiencing new places, watching shows on the Food Network, and trying new restaurants. She especially enjoyed cooking huge meals for her family. Angela could be the "life of the party" at gatherings and was a long-time member of the Castillejos Civic Club.
Angela is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Gallardo Irwin and Jeannette Gallardo Cone, her son-in-law Jeffrey Irwin, and her beloved grandchildren Christopher Irwin, Lauren Irwin, Alyssa Cone and Andie Cone.
