

Angeles Fajardo Villanueva, affectionately known as "Angie" to his family and friends, was born on August 3, 1935, in Caloocan City, Philippines. He grew up with 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Angie is survived by his loving wife, Erlinda, and their four children - Maria, John, Grace, and Chris - as well as 10 grandchildren. Angie and Erlinda's love story began when they married on August 22, 1964, after being pen pals for several years, having met through a mutual friend.
Angie's life journey began with humble origins, but through unwavering dedication, perseverance, and hard work, he carved out two successful careers. Having completed 3 years of his Mechanical Engineering degree at Le Tran University in the Philippines, Angie joined the United States Navy in 1960, driven by his deep desire to provide a better life for his family. He served for 20 years in the Navy as an Aircraft Mechanic before retiring in 1980. Without skipping a beat, he embarked on a 20-year career with the San Diego Transit System, leaving behind a lasting legacy as a devoted mechanic. Angie took great pride in his worldly experiences gained during his time in the Navy. He shared captivating stories of the places he visited and the unique encounters he had. Above all, Angie held immeasurable pride in the achievements of his children and grandchildren.
For many decades, Angie was a devoted parishioner at The Church of Most Precious Blood, where his faith played a central role in his life. He was an avid fan of the Padres and Chargers, often teasing his children and grandchildren by playfully suggesting he would pitch for the Padres. Additionally, Angie was a steadfast supporter of Sycuan Casino, always finding joy in his visits there.
A visitation will be held for Angeles on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in the Magnolia Room from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey Mortuary and Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita California 91902. The Magnolia Room will be at the east gate entrance of the park.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at Church of the Most Precious Blood, 1245 4th Avenue, Chula Vista, California 91911.
Following the funeral service, there will be a committal service from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Glen Abbey Mortuary and Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita California 91902.
