

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Ann was no exception. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Ann will be remembered as an exceptional person.
Ann’s life journey began on October 3, 1949. She first greeted the world in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her parents' were Archie and Sidonia Himlie. She was raised with one brother David. Ann was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her family sharing many life experiences over the years.
Ann was a typical teenager who had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from High School and attended the University of Minnesota.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Ann experienced that with Richard Marion Braeutigam and the couple exchanged wedding vows in San Diego California. Empathic and loyal, Ann was committed to making her new family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Ann was blessed with two daughters Jennie Theresa and Sara Ann Braeutigam. Ann worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs, raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later on, Ann was blessed with the gift two granddaughters Shawnee Lynn and Sadie Louise Sargent.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Ann enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Ann worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her job. Ann worked for NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego Business Services Division and retired from working for the Federal Government for 40 years. She received a Meritorious Civilian Service Award for over 40 years of service to the Federal Government.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Ann enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including Doll Collecting such as Madame Alexander Dolls, scrapbooking, watching Dr. Phil and Lifetime Movies. She was usually willing to share her interests with others.
Ann Louise Braeutigam left us on February 7, 2015. She passed away in her home in Alpine, California. She is survived by brother David Himlie, her two daughters Jennie Sargent and Sara Braeutigam, son-in-law Jason Sargent and two granddaughters Shawnee and Sadie Sargent.
Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Service will be held at The Little Chapel of the Roses on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Ann will be laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
So this is Ann’s life, the sum of the woman that she became. Simply stated, Ann was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Ann leaves behind her a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Ann Louise Braeutigam touched will always remember her with a smile.
