Anthony Whitten Mallory

Anthony was born July 5, 1982 in Athens, GA and graduated from Oconee County High. He attended Georgia State University and joined the U.S. Army on April 24, 2007. After completing a certificate in Audio Visual Engineering he was transferred to Daegu, South Korea as a Satellite and Broadcast Technician. While in Korea he met and married the love of his life - Nellie Ann Garcia, and in March of 2010 they were stationed in Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX where Anthony served as a Video Teleconference Technician encrypting, maintaing and conducting video teleconferences for the U.S. Army South. In 2011 they were transferred to Grafenwohr, Germany where he served as a Technology Specialist for the Armed Forces Network. While in Germany, Anthony and Nellie Ann traveled around Europe and celebrated the birth of their first child, Charlotte. While in the U.S. Army he completed his degree with a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting from the University of Maryland. In 2015 he was honorably-discharged from the U.S. Army but continued his service as a civilian with the Department of the Navy in San Diego, CA as a Senior Internal Auditor. While in San Diego his second child, Jacob, was born.

Anthony is survived by his wife Nellie Ann Garcia, two children, Charlotte Susana Mallory and Jacob Sean Mallory, his parents Rose and Bill Mallory, his sister Dorothy Jill Mallory and nieces Iris and Bea Mallory-Dodd as well as many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in San Diego at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the children's college fund.
