OBITUARY
Aziyade F. Pesqueira, 84 years old, of 131 E. Palomar St. Chula Vista, CA 91911, passed away at her house on October 15, 2021.
Aziyade, known to many as “Azi”, was born in Colonia del Valle, Mexico City, on April 2nd, 1937, to her parents: Vidal Fonseca Garza and Tomasa Cardenas Villarreal.
She was married to Pedro J. Pesqueira in Mexico City, who held Sales Manager position at Cerveceria Moctezuma. They had a daughter, who they named Dinorah S. Pesqueira, born on June 21, 1970.
Young Azi graduated with honors from the Garside School in Mexico City, giving the commencement speech for her graduating class. Soon after, she started working at the American Embassy in Mexico City, where she worked for several years, as a bilingual secretary and translator. Later she held similar positions at Pfizer Pharmaceutical and Cooper-Bessemer Corporation, where she taught English to the staff. Once back in the United States, she worked for the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD) form March 1984 to April 2003, where she held several positions including: typist clerk, office technical field, and translator for the Special Services Department. Here, she made many long-lasting friends and was well like and respected. After retiring from (SUHSD), she continued to do translation and interpretation for outside events and legal firms.
Azi is preceded by her husband Pedro J. Pesqueira, who passed on September 12, 1991, her daughter Dinorah S. Pesqueira who passed on September 15, 2016, and two sisters: Gloria Arredondo and Zady Violante, both passing in Mexico City.
She is survived by her son, Don A. Adams and 3 grandchildren: Alexander I. Adams, Christian A. Adams and Rene A. Adams, living in Chula Vista, CA.
Memorial mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church on November 17, 2021, at 11:00 am, followed by interment at Glen Abbey Lake of Dreams at 12:30 pm, and finished by a small celebration of life at the Glen Abbey Little Lodge, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
