Barbara, the most loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend is survived by her husband Robert; daughter, Doreen; and her fur babies – cats: Casey, Echo Kitty, Michelangelo, Daisy Mae, Oreo, Mickey Mouse; and her grand fur babies - cats: Sissy Cat and Katie Cat and her grand dog, Codie.
Barbara lived her early years in New York. Upon graduation, Barbara met the love of her life, Robert and were married in the early 1960's. Robert entered the Navy and was quickly stationed on the West Coast. Despite Barbara moving to the West Coast in her early twenties, Barbara ALWAYS maintained her New York accent.
In the late 1960's, Barbara and Robert gave birth to a girl, Doreen and San Diego became the permanent home for the Mulz Family. As Robert continued to serve his country, Barbara created a loving and nurturing home for Robert and Doreen. Barbara ensured Doreen knew her alphabet and numbers before entering school and often worked at Doreen’s school to ensure her involvement. As Doreen grew older, and Robert started a business, Barbara dedicated her time to helping grow and support the business.
Barbara loved her animals; her beloved childhood parakeet, her collie Prince and her blue-eyed cat “Kitters” were among several that always held a special place in her heart. Barbara loved her mysteries, purses (never could find the perfect one), and her NCIS program – she was clear only the original seasons with Mark Harmon.
Barbara had a special sense of humor that could brighten even the toughest day or struggle. Barbara’s unrelenting faith to the Blessed Mary, Mother of Jesus, was a constant light, hope, and inspiration in her life saying to pray to the “Blessed Mother” and she would make everything alright.
Barbara loved unconditionally and sacrificed for those she loved always thinking about others before herself. She gave of her heart without hesitation and biggest fear was she would be a burden to her family, apologizing and always thanking them for the simplest task they did for her up until she didn’t have the strength to talk. Barbara would always say there is something special about a wife and mother’s love and embodied this to the end.
Barbara “Baby Mama” was a truly great woman whose impact will be forever felt by her family; that loves her dearly. She was a selfless woman whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones. Her ability to sacrifice, provide support, laugh, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all she knew.
“We will always love you Baby Mama.”
