

Betty Lee Chan was born in Davao City, Philippines on April 4, 1935. She was the fifth child of Macaria Yan and Lee Nai Sun.
In high school, Betty was in the track and field team with the Davao Chinese School, she competed in the hurdles. Betty graduated in the Immaculate Conception College of Pharmacy and passed the pharmacy board exam. She married Carlos Chan on August 10, 1959 and decided to be a full time wife and mother. In 1981, Betty immigrated to the United States with her family and decided to join the workforce, she worked at the Quon Pharmacies, Inc. as a pharmacy assistant in San Diego until she retired in the early 90s.
Betty loved to travel, she went to London, Paris, Rome, China, Vancouver BC, New York, Washington DC, the Niagara Falls, Alaska and Mexican Cruises, Thailand, and multiple trips to the Philippines. She also went on driving vacations to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Yosemite, Sequoia Kings Canyon, Joshua Tree NP and parts of Arizona.
Betty loved her family and her God. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband Carlos Chan, daughter and son-in-law Jennifer Chan Masi and Anthony Masi, son and daughter-in-law Stephen Chan and Carol Anne Linzee Chan, daughter Arleen Chan, grandchildren Allison Masi, Michael Chan, David Chan and Kevin Masi, brothers James Lee, Henry Lee and Frederick Lee. She is survived by her brother Benjamin Lee only six days, he has now joined Betty in eternal rest.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, Macaria Yan and Lee Nai Sun, her sisters Paz Lee Lim, Lydia Lee Lim, and Linda Lee Lim.
Betty, loved by her family will be greatly missed. Her family live in the HOPE that one day they will have a grand family reunion in the House of the Lord.
