Brandon Carlos Angeles, age 30, was born in San Diego, California on December 31, 1989 and passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. In between these two dates, he lived life to the fullest. With a desire to see the world and create something that would outlive his time on Earth, Brandon relentlessly pursued just that! His favorite place was Brazil, and being a talented musician, he created timeless songs and melodies that would touch hearts everywhere he traveled.
He is survived by his father and mother, Juan Carlos Angeles and Lovinia Angeles, his loving sister, Christina Hawkinson, brother-in-law, Dustin Hawkinson, two nieces, Ava Marie and Layla Grace and aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving relatives.
Brandon graduated from Sweetwater High School in 2008 and later received his bachelor’s degree in History at San Diego State University. He then traveled to Buenos Aires to get his international teaching certificate at Cambridge University and went on to teach English in Brazil.
He had such an interest in events of the past and a longing to make a lasting impact in the present and future. Every person who took the time to get to know Brandon, knew that there was something special and unique about him. Besides having a love for the world God created, he had an even deeper love for the people around him. This love extends to those who are here today and watching online. He had a kind and compassionate heart and a sense of humor that would make your stomach and cheeks hurt. Brandon will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Brandon’s favorite scripture was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” While our hearts grieve someone so precious to us, because of his faith, we rejoice that he is perfect and whole in the arms of the Father and we will see him again.
