Carolyn Williams Monteverde

Carolyn Ann Williams Lopez-Monteverde was born in San Diego, to Selma “Sally” and Roger Williams. A lifelong San Diego resident, she attended Hilltop High in Chula Vista and Cal Western University in Point Loma. Carolyn devoted her career to education. She taught at the Chula Vista Elementary School District, serving as a beloved Kindergarten teacher, bilingual teacher, and union representative, retiring in 2003.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her dear daughter, Erica Esther Williams, and her devoted husband, Jesús López-Monteverde. She is survived by siblings, Roger K. Williams and Rebecca Johnson; niece Michelle Morrison; and great -niece Maya Grace Morrison.

Carolyn found joy in the everyday and lifted everyone around her. Her kindness and generosity were constants. She loved her family, friends, nature, and her darling cat Tac. She often said “Let Go, Let God” and “All is Well And All will Always Be Well .”
