

Cesar Herrera was born on September 25, 1946 in Naic, Cavite, Philippines to the late Dominador and Nimencia Herrera and passed away on May 26, 2013 in Pensacola, Fl. He joined the United States Navy on August 6, 1965 and retired as Master Chief Petty Officer on March 31, 1994. He was a former President of Filipino-American Association of Pensacola, Inc., owner of CD’s Town Fiesta Restaurant, which later became Manila Garden Restaurant and past President of Filipino-American Republican Club of Pensacola. He was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Divina Ramos Herrera; children, Ria (Ryan ) Santos, Winson (Roselle) Herrera and Chris; grandchildren R.J. and Rachel Santos; brothers and sisters, Efren (Espie) Herrera, Evelyn (Romy) Pereyra, Rowena (Moises) Ilagan, Edwin Herrera, Jun Herrera and Edith (William) Vitalich, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnephews & nieces, extended families and friends.
First visitation was held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on May 30, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A mass of Celebration followed officiated by Reverend Father Joe Callipare, Monsignor James Flaherty and Deacon Jerry Williamson.
His body was flown to San Diego, CA and will have a visitation at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary in Bonita, CA on Saturday and Sunday, June 8 & 9, 2013 from 5 pm to 9 pm. A Mass of Celebration will be at St. Michael Catholic Church on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, CA.
