Christian A. Gilstrap

His charismatic personality and big smile welcomed anyone who touched his life; Christian was genuinely interested in people and was well known for his positive outlook in all matters that he embraced. Whether it was his commitment to exercise and health or his determination to have a hugely successful business career, Christian was passionate about working hard to achieve his dreams.

Christian was a comedian full of wildly funny antics; his creative ways gave uniquely personal nicknames to family and friends and his laugh, contagious in nature, would fill a room and bring such fun into the lives of friends and family.

While Christian touched so many lives with his kindness, sincerity and charming personality it is important to note that he was fiercely loyal to his family. His love of family was the foundation of Christian’s life; his father Miguel Neavez, Stepmother Patricia and his six siblings Miguel, Chance, Carrington, Briana, Lisy, and Sienna formed an endearing bond that brought Christian great joy. His mom, Dina Gilstrap-Flores was his soul-mate. The heartfelt relationship that Christian had with his mom was inspired by his deep devotion to her; he carried this soulful love for her at the center of his heart every day of his life. His sister Taylor Gilstrap was his best friend; she delighted in his sense of humor and always watched over Christian. His youngest sibling is his brother Adrian who is nearly four years old; Christian was an incredible big brother who loved him dearly. His grandparents were meaningful role models to Christian; they provided a circle of support and unconditional love that contributed to his poise and quiet confidence.

Christian had the unique ability to wisely analyze most situations that arose and he was so good at asking poignant questions in order to obtain a better understanding of a person or a set of circumstances. His humanity and deep respect for people were very evident during these moments of inquiry and resolution; it was awe-inspiring to see such a young man possess and consistently demonstrate such tenderness and empathy for people and their stories.

Christian was an amazing person, an original in all respects and his legacy is his mighty heart of goodness and love; all would agree that it was an honor to know him as a friend or family member…his light and trust in human kind inspired so many people to do the right thing…his energy and actions have left this world a better place. Christian was a true gift to this world and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him and his memory will continue to serve as a lantern for all who loved him.
