Mr. Eddie Al Gavin

Eddie grew up in San Diego, California where he attended and graduated from Castle Park High School in 1974. He enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.

Later in life, Eddie was blessed with two children, sons Jonathan Edward and Jared Matthew. Another blessing for Eddie was the gift of one grandchild, Emily. Eddie worked hard to be a good father to his children and did his best to fulfill their needs.

On June 4, 2001 Eddie exchanged wedding vows with Alexandra D. Pascua in the Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Eddie was committed to making his family happy.

Fortunately, Eddie enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Eddie worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was in home construction. He was a successful carpenter for 38 years.

Eddie passed away on October 14, 2010 at his residence in National City, California. He is survived by his wife, Alexandra Gavin; children Jonathan Edward Gavin and Jared Matthew Gavin; granddaughter Emily Gavin; mother Rosita D. Locklin and many other family and friends. Services were held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel on October 23, 2010. Eddie was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.

Simply stated, Eddie was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Eddie leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Mr. Eddie Al Gavin.
