

Emmanuel Marquez Simon, born on November 16,1968 in Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away at age 54 on Tuesday, June 13th in Long Beach, California.
Emmanuel was known to family and friends as Noel, or ‘Brother/Ka Noel’ by his fellow brethren in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ). He is survived by his loving wife, Myline De Jesus Nabong Simon and son, Beau Angelo Nabong Simon.
Noel was born to Eleuterio Dela Cruz Simon, Sr. and Cecilia Marquez Simon. He was the second of four children. His siblings are Jun Simon (wife Lisa and sons Justin and Jacob); Erwin Simon (wife Irene and daughter Paisley); and Cynthia Papa (husband Henry and son Tyler). He graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, and eventually graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Evangelical Ministry. Noel was a Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) for 32 years. He dedicated his life in service to the Almighty Father, and to Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Noel enjoyed playing the guitar, especially with his son, Beau.
He was known for his infectious smile and compassionate spirit. He will truly be missed, but he has finished his race.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
A 1st Evening Visitation for Emmanuel will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Magnolia Room. A 2nd Evening Visitation will occur Monday, June 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Magnolia Room. A Morning Visitation will occur Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at The Magnolia Room. A Graveside Service will follow from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
