Ernesto "Ernie" Cuevas Rapaido, age 86, of Chula Vista, California passed away on Wednesday January 1, 2020. "Ernie" was born December 14, 1933 in Cavite Philippines. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Consuelo Manalo Rapaido, five daughters and one son - Eleanor Rapaido Landry, Rosalie Rapaido Soranidis, Jocelyn Manalo Rapaido-Ritua, Cynthia Manalo Rapaido, Roderic Manalo Rapaido, and Jessica Manalo Rapaido-Ybarra, ten grandchildren - Renato Teroy, Taylor Landry, Aristides Soranidis, Kyle Landry, Ileana Soranidis, Jacqueline Silavong, Alexandria Ritua, Victoria Ritua, Alexis Ybarra, and Ciera Ybarra, and one great-granddaughter - Emery Silavong.
A visitation for "Ernie" will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Glen Abbey's Mortuary Chapel, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, California 91902. The funeral service will be from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM with the reception to follow from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. An urn placement will occur Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, California 92122.
