Esther Elizalde

Esther Elizalde was born to Esther and Jose Quezada on January 18, 1971 in Tijuana, Mexico. She grew up in San Ysidro, California in San Diego County. She was the eldest of her siblings, and is survived by Veronica, Maria, Jesus, and Jose. She attended Southwestern Community College and graduated with her Associate Degree in Child Development.

She met her husband, Enrique Elizalde in high school and they married in 1995 when she was 24. Esther Elizalde had three children: Jovanny, Arianna, and Ivan. They moved from their apartment in National City to their new home in San Jacinto, CA in 2004.

Esther worked in childcare, taking care of infants and toddlers at Growing Tree Monastery School. She loved working with little ones, putting special care into all her responsibilities and her classroom. She often worked at the dinner table, making arts and crafts and planning for her students. She loved to talk about them to her family.

Esther was a fierce and passionate individual who loved her family dearly. She believed in fairness and always doing things the right way.

She passed away in a tragic car accident on August 25, 2025. Esther was loved by those who knew her and she will be forever missed.
