Evelyn Esther Casebier 93, of Spring Valley California went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2013. She was at home surrounded by her loving family, all together including Evelyn, 5 generations when Jesus came for her. She is the beloved wife of Clyde Frank Casebier of 75 years this June 30th.
She was born January 17, 1920 in Illinois to James and Emma Barlow. She grew up with her three siblings, Beatrice, Dewoody, and Mary Alice. She met Clyde and found true love. They married in 1938 raising three beautiful daughters, Jeannine, Janet and Joyce. Never has there ever been a couple more in love. They have taught 5 generations, what unconditional love given from our heavenly Father is. They made a home filled with God and His love, in Spring Valley CA, and had three granddaughters, Lori, Sheri, and Julie. This family they began, continued to
grow adding Jennifer and Christina as their great granddaughters, and later Serena and Isabelle as great great granddaughters.
Although the granddaughter's and great granddaughter's called this home, after Clyde's passing Evelyn continued to fill their home and all together including Evelyn, had 5 generations that have very happily lived in the home that they made out of love. There is something very
special that they taught this family. Love conquers all, and God is love, so therefore our home has been filled with God and her family will forever be grateful for her giving us the passion of love for Jesus. She often filled our home with wonderful smells of homemade pies and with
her singing songs of Jesus and her love for God. Teaching all of her daughters, granddaughters, great granddaughters and great great granddaughters, even the youngest, Isabelle Esther, named after Evelyn, the joy for Jesus in her songs. Her great and great great granddaughters kept her young at heart. Even in her final days, always asking for them when she woke. Just a few days before going Home, when she was able, she sang "Open up your heart and Let the Sunshine in", even till her calling, she stayed true to the Father, singing and praying. She is one of God's gifts and true joys.
Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Jeannine Giebel and Joyce Casebier of Spring Valley, CA; her granddaughters, Lori Cook and Sheri Campbell of Spring Valley, CA and Julie Jewett of Scottsdale, AZ; her great granddaughters, Jennifer Spinks and Christina Cook of Spring Valley, CA; and her great great granddaughters, Serena Maningas and Isabelle Esther Spinks of Spring Valley, CA.
Evelyn Esther Casebier, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma, great grandma, great great grandma and friend will continue to remain in our hearts, our memories and watch over us with Clyde and their daughter Janet until we are reunited with her once again.
