April 2, 1950 - August 20, 2015
Francisco passed away suddenly due to irreversible cerebral edema(brain swelling), a complication from NASH (non-alcoholic steatohepatitis), otherwise known as fatty liver disease.
He was born in the town of Paete, Laguna, Philippines. He came to the United States in 1977, and joined the US Navy. During his time in the Navy he was stationed in Virginia Beach, VA, Silverdale, WA, Naval Base Subic Bay, Philippines, San Diego, CA, and after serving 22 years in the Navy he retired in July of 1999 he settled in Chula Vista, CA. As a civilian, he continued to work for the federal government in Point Loma, CA.
He is survived by his sisters Juanita David of Los Angeles, CA; Victoria V. Mariano of Bonita, CA; Erlinda Baldemor of Paete, Laguna PI; Amor Gagaring of Paete, Laguna, PI; wife Elvissa S. Villarin and daughter Jessica of Chula Vista, CA; son Bryan T. Villarin of San Gabriel, CA; and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
During his 20's he pursued a degree in Psychology. He also served as treasurer of the Paetinians International - Southern California Chapter. He loved music, fishing, and spending his spare time with his daughter, Jessica. He always had a joke or two to tell at our family get-togethers, and you could usually count on him as one of the first people to fall asleep at the family parties, and the proof is in the many pictures we have! He was an accomplished pancake connoisseur, Stella Rosa expert, Keurig McCafe coffee swigger, and an avid Costco sample grazer.
He was a hard working man who loved his family very much - a devoted husband, protective father, perpetual little brother, caring uncle, and a constant friend.
