

Born on September 15, 1960 in the town of Lian, Batangas in the Philippines, Gloria came to San Diego, California in 1984. Eventually settling down in Maryland, her dedication and hard work showed in all aspects of her life. A government employee for over 20 years, her love of helping and genuine care for people never went unnoticed. More importantly, being a mother, a wife for 36 years, and a “Lola G” (grandmother) was a role that filled her with so much, love, joy, and pride. She loved to dance, she loved to sing, and most of all she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Emmanuel “Boyet” M. Lejano; her oldest daughter, Jennylynn Sayo and husband Renato Sayo Jr.; son Philip Lejano; and youngest daughter Maria Lejano; and granddaughters Olivia, Charlotte, and Madison. She is also survived by her siblings; Tessie Nioko, Carmelita Sevilla, Orlando Nioko, Louie Nioko, Roger Nioko, Luz Toledo, Rosalie Belisario, and Vilma Nioko.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis Jonson Nioko and Juanita Lainez Nioko; her brother Rodolfo Nioko, sister Siony Nioko Pena; and nephew Herminio Pena Jr.
Friends may call on Sunday January 12 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm and Monday January 13 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm at the Little Lodge in Glen Abbey Funeral Home, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 2643 Homedale Street, San Diego, CA 92139 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Glen Abbey Cemetery.
