Thinking about Jaime today. Remembering when Taylor was a toddler and she would come to the Zigler parties with her wonderful babinka. I remember we would all immediately take a piece to hide for later because she made it so good that it would disappear! We miss her fun, funny and warm  personality. Miss you girl. ❤️

Jaime’s slumber parties were the best. Hands down. But even better than those was her smile. I never saw her without one, and it was beautiful. How lucky were we to have had her in our lives? The world is a better place because of her. Rest easy friend. 💗

Jaime and Taylor surprised me on my birthday with Spaghetti Factory. I had Covid and couldn’t celebrate with the family at my favorite place.  She always knew how to cheer me up.

But you see…  we were too busy living in the moment with Jaime… that all these “if only I knew” are memories that fill my heart with joy and gratitude. 
She taught us all that life is worth living and being present is so important. 
So I would like to  change all of those  “if only I knew” to a bunch of thank yous.. to my beautiful sister.

Going through pictures recently made me think… if only I knew… 
If only I knew that would be the last text… love you sis!
If only I knew that would be the last time we would look at a Hawaiian sunset or walk in out of the tents at the swap meet.
If only I knew that was the last time I would walk Main Street in Disneyland with you gazing at the Christmas Tree and sleeping beauties castle. 
If only I knew that would be the last time we would wear those silly New Year’s glasses.
If only I knew…that was our last time we would sing happy birthday together
If only I knew that would be our last sister trip together… soul sisters forever. 
If only I knew…our last toast would be to many loving years of marriage, 20 for you and Ray and 50 to our parents. 
If only I knew… your last surprise to me would be on my birthday … spaghetti factory  
If only I knew… that would be the last time we would turn and look back at that big golf ball at Epcot, where we celebrated Taylor’s 21st Birthday. 
If only I knew that would be the last time we smelled fresh flowers together in that Carlsbad warehouse,  because you loved making headpieces for Izzy’s hula performances 
if only I knew… that was the last time I would see you braid Izzy’s hair
If only I knew that would be the last time you picked up my purse from a dirty surface and said Louis’s do not belong there. If you know  Jaime, you know she was always picking up our stuff off dirty surfaces. 
If only I knew that would be the last time you would jump over waves on a jet ski with me screaming, holding on tight and you laughing. Oh that beautiful laugh. I can still hear it. 
if only I  knew… that would be our last hug, where you embraced me and didn’t let me go for what seemed like eternity 
If only I knew… those would be the last loving words you said to me… thank you for taking care of my girls, and promise me you will continue to take care of my girls, and I love you sister

Thank you for being the bestest friend to my mommy and being the best auntie. I’ll never forget your distinct laugh because hearing it always made me laugh too. At one of your parties, you made a rice dish and you said it didn’t turn out the way you wanted to at all. I think I was the only one that ended up getting multiple servings of it. You said you’ll try to make it again for me even though it was an accident. You always thought of the little appreciative things like that. I’ll miss you so much and I love you so much! <3

My deepest condolences to Jamie’s wonderful family. I’ll always remember Jamie’s sweet smile. She was a good friend to my daughter, Juanita, Quevedo, when they were in grades 5 through 8 at St. Michael’s Academy in Paradise Hills. They had slumber parties, were dance partners in a talent show and spent many afternoons giggling. Those were wonderful years and I will always treasure those beautiful memories.  Jamie was always kind and considerate of others. I know she will be missed by many friends and family members. I thank God for giving us the opportunity to get to know Jamie for those few, but very precious years. 

To our inherited and chosen Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins. I will never ever forget the memories, happiness, and smiles that you have given us. There are so many memories of family parties, karaoke nights, and never wanting to leave Jimmy and Estrella’s warm and welcoming home. Jaime, I will always remember your smile and that laugh of yours. It’s contagious and I can even hear it now. Your authenticity is unmatched and I will carry it with me always. I look forward to the hug welcoming us on the other side when we meet again. Visit us as often as you like and say hi to Nanny for us. I love you.

Our hearts are broken.Jaime was one of the strongest, bravest people I've ever known. She loved her family fiercely and unconditionally and her love and kindness toward others were demonstrated through her actions. I've known Jaime for as long as I can remember. I have many special memories as she was like my little sister and always there when I was with Jen.We have shared many major milestones and celebrations between our families, and she has always been so supportive and there to help out. I remember when she and Ray were pregnant with Taylor and they came to our house and told my parents, "You're gonna be a Lolo and Lola!"💞 A few years later beautiful Taylor was a flower girl at our wedding. We've always had common bonds we could always laugh and talk about: our Jen, our white husbands (LOL 😉), and our busy kids... who she would do anything and everything for. Whether planning parties, events, or decorating,  she was extremely organized and super creative, and had a plan for everything!She often helped me with my events and we would always discuss where to find the best deals! Jaime was a huge cheerleader and a great soccer mom for Izzy and Kye's teams, Rockstar Cheetah Kickers and Dolphin Attack 😆,  and the best softball and dance mom! She was there every step of the way and always involved. Jaime always had good advice, and her laughter and smile were contagious.  When we were in Tokyo for a layover headed back to SD, we didnt have much time to catch the connecting, but we really wanted to shop. So we ran all over the airport quickly buying all the Japanese snacks and trinkets to take home so "at least we could say we were in Japan." It was so funny. We often texted each other when a  cute picture memory popped up.  It usually had something to do with Jen, Disney, zoo+our girls 😊. We all miss Jaime dearly. Our deepest condolences to the Padillas and Colliers and those who were touched by such an amazing person.

Our friendship was a special one and started in 7th grade at St. Michael's. We went on to Bell Jr High, then UC and later on you had Izzy join my family's  dance group LEIISA. We had so many wonderful memories & good times. I am so grateful for all of them. Thank you for always checking on me and making sure I was okay. You always had my back even in our adult years. You were one of a kind. I will miss our talks, you giving me the best advice, your laughs, your sweet messages and just being in your presence. I love you & I will miss you Jaime. My heart is full of gratitude because of you. So many memories keep fluttering like a butterfly in my mind. Some are rapid and others slow down enough to remind me that I (we) will be okay. Everything from before Taylor was born to our amazing European Experience to Amsterdam (in my top 10) to Hawaii to Disney Adventures to Vegas and back home. The fluttering of memories make my heart flutter. You and Jen have been the sisters I never had. I thank God for that every day. I wanted to thank you for not only being a beautiful person and example of strength to me but also thank you for loving my brother unconditionally. Your love is what I have always looked up to and hope to someday achieve. I promise to look after my little brother always. Thank you for giving me two beautiful and spirited nieces. I’m saddened that this world lost a unique soul, but I’m fortunate to have shared many laughs throughout the years with Jaime. It was always comforting to know that even after many years, we could pick up from our last conversation and carry on as if we were still elementary school kids at St. Mikes. 

To the Collier and Padilla families, please accept my deepest condolences. We lost an incredible person, but we all are better people - because she was part of our lives. 

Condolences  and our deepest sympathy Rey, Taylor , Izzy our extended family brother Jimmy, Estrella, Jennifer n Michael, Melina and Azaria to a loss of our loved one Jaime. We have too many fond memories. A week before Jaime was hospitalized she remembered our family  road trip, spent over night  roughing it tent and all to senior lodge where my mom and dad were staying, hauled a goat in our trans Van from Bakersfield . The night was unremarkable somehow everyone was feeling ghosts presence around our tents indeed was scary. The kids laughed it out. Jaime’ is twinsies of my daughter Mabel , infectious laugh and smile. Jaime you will be deeply missed. Love you woman so much❤️❤️❤️Rest In Peace to Our Lord eternal place 🙏🙏

It was truly a blessing and joy that our youngest daughters became classmates, dance sisters, fellow class officers, kickball teammates and good friends. Their friendship reminds me so much of our own that was started back in 3rd grade. I could always count on you for a good laugh, whispers of a good story, surprises of your generosity and just being you, true to yourself and always there for others. You went above and beyond, especially for our girls, when it was least expected, especially when we knew you were sick or tired. Too many memories that I will forever cherish and think of fondly when missing you.

We have many fond and beautiful memories of Jaime throughout the years.  One of our favorite and happy memories was when we rented a beach house on the island of Kauai in Hawaii for about 6 days.  We snorkeled with turtles, sailed on a catamaran with dolphins swimming beside us, & went to a fabulous luau.  We had the time of our lives!  Every time we saw Jaime after that vacation she mentioned how she wished we could all go back.
We wish we would have gone together again, too. 
We will miss Jaime, and she will forever be in our hearts.  Sending all our love to Ray, Taylor, Izzy, the Collier family and the Padilla family.  

My deepest sympathy and condolences go to both families. I didn’t know Jamie really well, but what I did know of her, was that she was very sweet and kind.
