It is with deep sorrow and enduring love that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Jane Gallanosa Aguinaldo, who departed this life peacefully on August 15, 2025, in San Diego, CA, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. She was 63 years old.
Jane was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in October 2024. She received many treatments of chemotherapy and came very close to having a Bone Marrow Transplant. Though Leukemia claimed her body, it never broke her spirit. Jane faced each day with courage and positivity, reminding those around her of the strength found in hope and love.
Jane was born on April 26, 1962, to Gerardo and Rosario Gallanosa. She was the third out of five children. Jane married her loving husband of 33 years, Homer Aguinaldo, on November 2, 1991, becoming a stepmother to three girls. Two years later, she gave birth to one daughter.
She was baptized as a born-again Christian in 1999, joining her spiritual family in the San Diego Church of Christ, South Point Region. In 2020, she retired from the U.S. Postal Service after working for 37 years.
In her younger years, she loved to sew her own outfits, and after becoming a mother, she made elaborate Halloween costumes for her daughters. She enjoyed cooking and baking at home, testing new recipes, and trying new foods and cuisines. She loved dancing to R&B, Funk, and Soul music. She had the magic touch at the casino playing slot machines and bingo. She loved travelling the world; some of her favorite places to visit were Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Mexico.
Jane was a woman of quiet strength, unyielding faith, endless compassion and a heart full of love for her family, friends, and community. She was admired for her confidence, patience, kindness, and generosity. Her warmth, laughter, unwavering love, and support shaped the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Homer; daughters Jacquee, Annie, Sammie, and Alexa; five grandchildren Chase, Jaxson, Isaiah, Mayumi, and Kenzie; and her brothers Joe, Gerry, and David. She is preceded in death by her father Gerardo, mother Rosario, sister Lily, and beloved pets Champ and Jules.
