Jesus Ceralde was born on September 1st, 1931 in Dagupan City, Philippines, second child of Bartolome Vidal Ceralde and Victorina Cayabyab Landingin. He had 9 brothers and sisters. He attended high school at Dagupan Colleges. He married and started a family with Narcisa Gonzales, bearing sons Dennis and Danny and daughter Digna. He joined the US Navy in 1955 and served as a chef. He retired after 20 years of service as a First Class Petty Officer. After his retirement, he worked in assorted jobs, but found a long term position with San Diego State University in the maintenance and custodial department. His enjoyments in life included his family life, gardening, cooking, hosting and attending parties, church, and weekend mahjong sessions. Of particular note was his active participation in the Dagupan City Club of San Diego, of which he was a founding member. Jesus Ceralde passed away March 22, 2014 from natural causes at age 82. He will be laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, alongside his wife of 48 years, Narcisa, who passed away in 2005. He is survived by Dennis, Danny, Digna and 2 lovely grandchildren, Sarah and Adam.
