

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Jose Merced Almaguer-Vargas was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Jose will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Jose was born on November 14, 1934 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico Baja California at precisely 8:00 a.m. He was born to Pedro Almaguer and Esther Vargas. Jose was raised in Mexico City along with his siblings Jesus, Ma.Luisa, Alberto, Pedro Antonio and Juan Almaguer. Jose exchanged wedding vows with Ma.Guadalupe Amador Duarte on February 22, 1966 at “Iglesia Catedral de N. Sra. De Guadalupe in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Empathic and loyal Jose was committed to making his new family happy. While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately the same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Jose was blessed with 5 children and did his best to fulfill his children’s needs, raising them in a positive and nurturing environment. How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life.
Fortunately Jose enjoyed what he did for a living. Jose worked for “Ratner Clothing Factory” as a cutter for more than 40 years. Showing a strong work ethic, he worked diligently and did his best to succeed. Jose enjoyed his leisure time in gambling, eating out, family time, cruising, parties and being a little league coach. Jose passed away due to a Heart Attack on September 4, 2016 at 11:11 a.m. in the city of Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by his children, Guadalupe Munoz, Teresa Mullis, Cesar Almaguer, Irma Flores and Armando Almaguer along with his 16 grandkids and 13 great-grandchildren. He leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory. Services for Jose Merced Almaguer are being handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary’s main chapel. Jose will be laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California also on Saturday, September 17, 2016. Simply stated, Jose was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Jose leaves behind the legacy of a loving family, life-long friendships and many cherished memories.
