José de Jesus González Lozano

José de Jesus González, age 82, of Bonita, California passed away on Monday April 8, 2019. Jesus, "Chuy" was born May 12, 1936 in Jalostotitlán, Jalisco, Mexico to Marcos and Zenaida González who preceded him in death.

A model of strength, determination and modesty, Jesus made his way to Santa Barbara, California in 1956 where he met Rita Medina. The two married in 1964 after two years of courtship. An innate and shrewd business sense led Jesus to become a successful independent businessman in the automotive industry. He enjoyed tending to his orchard, building his sanctuary in the mountain village of San Sebastián del Oeste, Jalisco, collecting tequila and spending time with his grandchildren.

Jesus is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Rita and their 5 children, Theresa González of Greenwich, CT, Michael González (Jessica) of Long Beach, CA, Peter González (Karla) of Puerto Vallarta, MX, Dominique Grey (Justin) of Portland, ME and José de Jesus González, Jr. of Honolulu, HI. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren whom he adored; Noa Lucie, Sophia, Eli, Joaquin, Coco, Sienna, Lola, Koa and Alex.

Additionally, Jesus is survived by siblings Alfonso, Maria, Antonio, Dolores, Pedro, Zenaida and Marcos. He is also predeceased by brother Francisco.

A visitation at Glen Abbey's Little Chapel of the Roses for Jesus will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, Bonita, California. A funeral Mass at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bonita will be held on Thursday, April 25th at 12:00 noon. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with his family.
