Jose C. Meno

January 4, 1929 – March 30, 2016

On the early morning hours of March 30th longtime resident of San Diego and Lake Elsinore California passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Known to many as “Joe” he was born on the island of Guam in his native village of Inarajan

He served honorably for 22 years in the United States Navy retiring in 1971. Afterwards he was employed with the Salk Institute for Biological Studies retiring in 1991.

He was preceded by the love of his life and beloved wife of 48 years Teresita, granddaughter Clarissa, great granddaughter Kenvesia, father Joaquin, mother Antonia, brothers Juan and Vicente, sisters Marquita and Rosario.

Children were a constant presence in his life, he is survived by Elaine (Leo) Las Vegas, NV, Joseph (Venita) Lake Elsinore, CA, Therese (Aubrey) Chula Vista, CA, Marlene (Ray) San Diego, CA, Dorothy (Art) Oceanside, CA, Diane (Rick) San Diego, Ca, 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

His family and friends will always remember the kindness, caring, and ever giving person who shared himself to all who were a part of his life. He will be missed dearly by those he touched.

Viewing and visitation will be held on April 7th, 2016 Thursday from 5:00 – 9:00pm

Praying of the Rosary will be at 7:00pm. Venue selected will be Glen Abbey Mortuary & Memorial Park 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902

Catholic Mass will be celebrated on April 8th, 2016 Friday 10:00am at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, 2643 Homedale Street, San Diego, CA 92135

Interment will take place at Glen Abbey Memorial Park
