Joseph F. Harrison

Joseph F. Harrison was born on February 17, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John Frederic Harrison and Ethel Reda Doran Harrison. Joseph was raised in Woodland Hills, California with two siblings named John Jr. and Reda.

Joseph graduated from Crespi Catholic High School in 1967 and later earned his Bachelors degree from the University of San Diego in 1971.

On February 10, 1973 Joseph exchanged wedding vows with his sweetheart Maria Rodriguez in National City, California. Through empathy and loyalty, Joseph and Maria shared many loving years of marriage.

Joseph worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. He was blessed with three children, two sons, Christopher and John, and one daughter, Teresa. Later in life, he received the gift of six grandchildren, Brianna, Jovanni, Tyler, Trevor, Jake and Rocky.

Fortunately, Joseph enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Joseph worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career as a Chief Financial Officer. He was employed for over 20 years.

Sadly, Joseph passed away on February 12, 2011 at Scripps Mercy Hospital due to a myocardial infarction. He is survived by his wife Maria; children Christopher, John, and Teresa; mother Ethel Reda Harrison; grandchildren Brianna, Jovanni, Tyler, Trevor, Jake, Rocky and his dog Rusty. Services were held at the Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel on February 21, 2011. Joseph was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.

Simply stated, Joseph was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a loving father, dedicated husband, devoted son, endearing brother and giving grandfather. Joseph leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Joseph F. Harrison
