

Juanita was raised with six siblings. She had four brothers, Querico, Potenciano, Arcadio and Felipe; and two sisters, Emalina and Maria. Juanita was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
On April 25th, 1950 Juanita exchanged wedding vows with Aquilino Ermita in Masinloc, Zambales. Empathic and loyal, Juanita was committed to making her new family happy.
Juanita worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Juanita was blessed with five children, two sons, Edward and Aquilino; and three daughters, Elizabeth, Erlita and Aurelia. Fortunately, Juanita was later in life blessed with nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A homemaker and military wife, Juanita enjoyed what she did for a living. She loved raising her five children and many grandchildren. Juanita always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Juanita passed away on August 22, 2010 in the comfort of her home in San Diego, California. Juanita fought a brave battle against lung cancer. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ermita Lampa, Edward Ermita, Aquilino Ermita Jr., Erlita Emirta Ejanda and Aurelia Ermita Chua as well as her nine grandchildren and great grandchild and sister Maria Talucad Cabal. Services were held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel. Juanita was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Juanita was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Juanita leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Juanita T. Ermita.
