

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Julio Lanzador Almeda was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, he will always be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Julio’s life journey began on July 4, 1950. He was born in Cavite City, Philippines. His parents’ names were Primitivo and Natividad Almeda. He was raised with six siblings, Benjamin, Iluminada, Adelaida, Eduardo, David and Elenita.
Julio attended and graduated from Cavite National High School. He was also class Valedictorian.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Julio experienced that with Maria Isabel Lopez and the couple exchanged wedding vows on August 10, 1990 Church of Christ in National City, California. Empathic and loyal, Julio was committed to making his family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Julio was blessed with three children, Daniel Ivan, Christine and Jay Allan Almeda. He worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Julio enjoyed what he did for a living. He served in the United States Navy. While serving he received the Navy “E” Ribbon, the third Good Conduct Award in June 19, 1991, a National Defense Service Medal. Armed forces Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service deployment ribbon, overseas service ribbon and Navy Achievement Medal. He retired after serving 20 years.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Julio enjoyed his leisure time by cycling, listening to music, Karaoke, crossword puzzles, watching sports, bowling, watching movies, cleaning cars, going to Church and going to amusement parks. More than anything he loved his family.
Julio left us on May 11, 2012. He passed away in his home after battling with cancer. He was 61 years old. He is survived by his wife Maria Isabel Almeda and his sons Daniel and Jay Almeda and daughter Christine Almeda.
Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A funeral service was held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel in Bonita, California, on May 19, 2012. Julio Lanzador Almeda was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
So this is Julio’s life, the sum of the man that he became. Simply stated, Julio was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Julio leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember him with a smile.
